found this book tonight while browsing the kiddie section at my college’s library for storytelling class. i about tripped and died from pure intrigue and delight!
my mom’s birthday is today, and oh lord, i had trouble thinking of a gift. silly me. any of wegman’s books would have made a superb birthday gift for me mum. she’s a weimaraner fiend! she’s already collected three; they’re in the other room right now snoring away happily.
wegman’s picture books are always so bizarre, funny, amazing and seemingly impossible. he’s probably a super creepy guy in real life, but damn, he really knows how to dress them weims. it just proves that imagination wins at life. :)
We’ll keep keep keep keep you alive ‘Cause your pretty And we need something to look at while we Tear you up Take what you love And burn it down Burn it down You swear to build We swear to come And burn it down
“Pick me up upsidedown and swing me around upsidedown OPRAH!!”—so apparently i’m black and have my own talk show now. ah, little kids say the funniest things. i laughed so hard when i heard that tonight. ♥
now i just gotta work on getting my manchester orchestra cd back. it got stuck in diana’s car over 3 years ago. oh well, i still have the jewel case. plus i backed it up on itunes way before its eternal imprisonment.
“i remember you once said you felt like you didn’t have your own unique look/feel to your photos. well i hope you know now that you do. they are all very creative and i love vintage so much and your pics tend to go that route :) your style is one i haven’t seen any of my other photographer friends do. most people tend to follow the “clean lines, clear” route. aka it gets boring and cookie cutter. i’m glad that you do not follow that route and have variety :)”—and now i feel loved. thank you for the kind words kelsey. :)
